    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    The great actor Gene Hackman, his wife Betsy Arakawa and their dog were found dead in their Santa Fe, NM home. Police say there is no evidence of foul play, so it is still a mystery, most likely something like a carbon monoxide leak, but it remains to be seen.

    Gene Hackman was 95, Betsy Arakawa was 64. A sad passing for a legendary actor and 2 time Academy Award winner, with a career spanning over 50 years.

    He first became widely known in Bonnie and Clyde, won Best actor for The French Connection and Best supporting actor for Unforgiven, but was a memorable force in movies ranging from Hoosiers to a personal favorite, 'The Conversation.'

    He will be remembered and he will be missed.

      Even his small role in the movie The Birdcage where he played a senator whose daughter was marrying the son of a gay couple. Obviously against the values of the religious congressman

      Sharing the screen with Robin Williams and Nathan Lane who were both fantastic in that movie, is minor character still stood out and provided hilarious responses to the ensuing chaos of the storyline.

    I am reminded of an old Arthur Penn thriller, Night Moves, kind of a perfect role for him as a private eye. Classic film, often overlooked.

    I have seen a lot of movies with Gene Hackman in them... The man was a true talent. He could do drama, action, si fi, or a western with no problem.

    He gets a lot of credit for his role in the movie Tombstone, but he was just as good in the movie The Quick and The Dead.

    He did a good job of portraying Lex Luthor in the 1979 movie Superman.

    This is sad news indeed.

    R.I.P. Mr. Hackman, you will be missed......
